Equaliser and Tone Processor

Six EQ Personalities - VST3

HybridPassiveAirDeskSurgicalBus

fEq is a stereo equaliser with six modes. Hybrid mode blends the behaviour of analogue hardware with the precision of fully parametric digital EQ. Passive mode models a classic two-band passive inductor EQ. Air mode provides gentle high-frequency enhancement. Desk mode recreates a classic console EQ. Surgical mode offers precise corrective control. Bus mode delivers musical programme shaping for groups and masters.

In Hybrid mode, controls are deliberately constrained where it matters musically - shelves use stepped frequency selectors, gain moves in half-dB increments, and the analogue engine responds to level. Every instance generates a unique serial number that seeds subtle hardware tolerances across both modes.

All parameters are fully automatable. The plugin window scales proportionally when resized, maintaining the hardware-inspired layout at any size. Per-band stereo/mono/mid-side processing is available on select modes.

Hybrid Mode

Low shelf, 3 parametric bands, high shelf, HPF, and LPF with stepped frequencies, half-dB gain, per-band stereo/mono/M-S, and analogue character.

Passive Mode

Two-band passive inductor EQ modelled on classic hardware. Low and high frequency sections with boost, attenuation, and bandwidth controls.

Desk & Surgical

Desk mode recreates a classic console EQ with musical curves. Surgical mode provides precise corrective control with tight Q and wide frequency range.

Bus Mode

Musical programme shaping optimised for groups and masters. Low, Lo-Mid, Hi-Mid, and High bands with gain, frequency, and bandwidth. Mix control for parallel EQ.
