fVerb is an eight-mode algorithmic reverb plugin. Each mode offers a distinct reverb character, from natural rooms and concert halls to metallic plates, chirping springs, dense chambers, shimmering pitch-shifted tails, gated nonlinear decays, and degraded lo-fi atmospheres.
Like all fBox plugins, each fVerb instance is stamped with a unique serial number that seeds subtle analogue-style tolerances across every DSP parameter. Two instances of fVerb in the same session will produce subtly different reverbs from identical settings, just as two hardware reverb units of the same model do.
fVerb processes audio in 64-bit double precision throughout the entire signal path and includes global high-pass and low-pass output filters, sidechain ducking, tempo-syncable pre-delay on all modes, and width control for stereo image adjustment.
Each mode exposes its own controls - Room has Size, Decay, Damping, Diffusion, Width, and Character. Shimmer adds Shimmer amount, Interval selector, and Modulation. Spring has selectable spring count, Tank Size, and Drip control.
Room & Hall
Natural small-to-medium rooms with early reflections and FDN late tail. Large algorithmic reverb with modulated FDN and allpass diffusion.
Plate & Spring
Classic Dattorro-topology plate with internal tank modulation. Multi-spring emulation with drip, splash, and nonlinear coupling.
Chamber & Shimmer
Dense chamber reverb for vocal and instrument ambience. Pitch-shifted shimmer with octave up, octave down, and fifth interval options.
Sidechain Ducking
Built-in sidechain ducker with attack and release. The reverb tail ducks when the dry signal is present, opening up when it stops - clean verses, lush tails.
